MiCA register: BingX EU and YouHodler added, 379 entries
ESMA's MiCA register lists 379 entries, 15 more than on 30 September. BingX EU has four services, YouHodler Italy five. How to read it.

ESMA's MiCA register holds a total of 379 entries for crypto-asset service providers on 21 October 2026, covering 376 distinct legal entities. On 30 September there were 364 entries and 361 legal entities, so 15 have been added. Two names stand out: BingX EU (MEGE zweite GmbH), authorised on 13 October by the Austrian supervisor FMA, and YouHodler Italy, with a date of 8 October at CONSOB.
This follows on from our piece on MiCA register: authorised or just notified?. We have recounted ESMA's file ourselves and show below what has changed since then, and what an entry in this register does and does not tell you.
The MiCA register in short
- 379 entries, 376 legal entities. Three legal entities appear twice in the file, with different dates. The same was true of the file on 30 September.
- 15 new entries in three weeks, from 364 to 379. The file carries a modification date of 19 October 2026 (14:15 GMT); ESMA's page says ‘Last update: 19 October 2026’.
- BingX EU (MEGE zweite GmbH, Austria): authorised on 13 October 2026, with four services: custody and administration, exchange of crypto for money, exchange of crypto for crypto, and transfer.
- YouHodler Italy S.r.l. (Italy): dated 8 October, with five services. Order execution is among them.
- Germany grows from 99 to 109 entries. Seven of these entries have an update date between 6 and 13 October and are notifications by a bank or investment firm (Article 60): Openbank Deutschland, KSW Vermögensverwaltung and five Volks- and Raiffeisenbanken.
- The Netherlands as home country: 29 entries, the same as on 30 September.
What has appeared in the register since 30 September?
In the file, 18 entries have an update date from 29 September onwards. An update date is not the same as a new authorisation: an entry may simply have been amended. These are the new names that we can identify by a date in October.
The label comes word for word from the ac_legal_basis column. Of the 379 entries, 76 carry the Article 63 label (CASP authorisation), 123 carry the Article 60 label (notification) and 180 carry no label. For those 180 the file therefore tells us nothing. That is why we do not compare ‘authorisation’ with ‘notification’ for those entries.
How do you read an entry in the register?
BingX EU
The entry for MEGE zweite GmbH (trading as BingX EU) names the Austrian FMA as the competent authority, with Article 63 as the legal basis. The passport list contains 28 countries: the countries where the provider may offer its services. The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Poland and Portugal are on it; Spain and Italy are not. That is what the file says, not a judgement on why.
The register lists four services. What BingX offers beyond these, such as derivatives, is not in this entry. The name BingX EU also does not mean that existing international BingX accounts fall under this entry. If you want to know which entity you are a customer of, the provider's terms and conditions will tell you.
YouHodler Italy
YouHodler Italy appears in the file under CONSOB with the date ‘08-Oct’. The year is missing and the legal basis field is empty. The five services listed are custody, exchange of crypto for money, exchange of crypto for crypto, order execution and transfer. Loans and yield products are not among them. The passport list contains 27 countries; Spain is not on it, while the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Poland and Portugal are.
Banks with a notification
Seven German entries with an update date between 6 and 13 October are notifications under Article 60. Three of them have a date that falls after the file's modification date: Openbank Deutschland (23 October 2026), Raiffeisenbank Rehling (30 October 2026) and VR Bank Lahn-Dill (13 November 2026). The file does not explain what that date means. We assume it is the date from which the bank may offer the service, but the file does not say so. So do not assume that a bank is already serving customers with it.
What does this register not tell you?
- Not being in the register is not the same as being illegal. ESMA calls it an interim register. A provider may operate under a different entity or may have a notification that has not yet been processed.
- Dates are not always filled in properly. Eleven entries have a date without a year (for example ‘08-Oct’ for YouHodler Italy) or an empty field (KBC Bank). That is why we say ‘date in file’ and not ‘authorisation granted on’.
- The transitional period is over. According to ESMA, providers that were already offering services may continue to do so ‘until 1 July 2026 or until they are granted or refused a MiCA authorisation’. That date has passed.
- A register entry is not advice. An authorisation says nothing about costs, the safety of your balance or the quality of the service.
What does this mean for you as a European investor?
In the Netherlands. The AFM still accounts for 29 entries. BingX EU and YouHodler Italy have the Netherlands on their passport list, so they may offer their services here. Whether they actually accept Dutch customers is up to them.
In Belgium. Both providers have Belgium on their passport list. The file has two entries with Belgium as home country, including BNY SA/NV (custody and transfer, dated 20 July 2026).
In Germany. 109 entries, the most of any country, a large share of them banks. A bank with a notification is not a separate crypto exchange: it covers one or a few services through the bank.
In France, Poland and Portugal. Both new names have these three countries on their passport list. France itself has 36 entries, Portugal one and Poland none as home country (185 entries if you count the passport list).
In Spain. Prakma Markets (GOIN Crypto) is authorised under Article 63, but with a passport list of three countries. BingX EU and YouHodler Italy do not have Spain on their passport list. For Spanish readers the register therefore stands at 16 Spanish entries.

What is not certain yet
- The register is updated without a fixed day. The figure of 379 is the state of the file we opened on 21 October 2026. A press release mentions 375 providers; we cannot tell how they count or which version they are based on.
- What the future dates mean for Openbank, Raiffeisenbank Rehling and VR Bank Lahn-Dill is unclear.
- Which services BingX and YouHodler activate in each country is not something the register says. Only the passport list is in it.
This article is not investment advice. Crypto can lose a great deal of value and you could lose your entire stake.
Frequently asked questions
Is BingX now authorised in the EU?
BingX EU (MEGE zweite GmbH) has been in the ESMA register since 13 October 2026, with an authorisation from the Austrian FMA for four services. The register says nothing about other BingX entities.
Is YouHodler in the MiCA register?
Yes. YouHodler Italy S.r.l. is in the file with a date of 8 October, five services and CONSOB as the authority. The legal basis is not filled in in the file.
How many providers are in the MiCA register?
In the file we opened on 21 October 2026: 379 entries and 376 legal entities. On 30 September there were 364 entries and 361 legal entities.
Is a provider that is not in the register illegal?
You cannot tell from the register alone. It is interim and does not everywhere distinguish between an authorisation and a notification. If in doubt, check with the supervisor in the provider's home country.
What is the difference between Article 60 and Article 63?
In the file, Article 63 stands for a CASP authorisation and Article 60 for the notification by a bank or investment firm. For 180 entries the field is empty.
