The story

Bybit was founded in 2018 by Ben Zhou and within a few years grew into one of the world's largest crypto exchanges, known for low fees, deep liquidity and a broad product range. To keep operating within European rules, Bybit obtained a MiCA licence in 2025 via the Austrian regulator FMA; European users have since traded through the separate, regulated platform bybit.eu.
