Our method
How we check codes and offers
This is what we do before a code or offer appears on CryptoCodes.eu, and for as long as it stays there. Every offer shows the date of our last check, so you can verify it yourself.
Before an offer goes on the site
At the partner itself
We check every offer at the partner itself: its offer page, its terms and the sign-up screen behind our link. A comparison site or a press release doesn't count as a source for us.
We don't test every code ourselves at checkout. We check what the partner itself publishes about it.
Authorisation in the ESMA register
If a partner offers crypto services, such as an exchange or a broker, we look up its MiCA authorisation in the register of ESMA, the European supervisor. We look at the European legal entity that serves you, not at the brand.
The providers we check ourselves are also compared with the list of their national supervisor and with GLEIF's LEI register.
Only where a partner may operate
A partner and its offers only appear on the editions for countries where it offers its service and where we are allowed to promote it. Elsewhere we don't show it at all: no card, no comparison and no code.
A European passport in the register doesn't tell you where a provider accepts customers, so we read what the partner itself says. If an offer on CryptoCodes.eu only applies in a few countries, we say who it is for.
While an offer is on the site
The date of our last check
Every offer shows “Last checked on” with a date, in the overview and on the offer page. We only change that date once we have checked the offer again at the partner.
Our deadline for this is 30 days. If we miss it, the old date stays in place, so you can see how old the check is.
If the partner says something different from what we show, we update the offer in every language. We only change a bonus, a condition or a fee once Andreas has approved the new text.
End dates and ended offers
If an offer has an end date, we show it. Once that date has passed, or the partner has stopped the offer, we move it to Ended offers. It stays there so you can see what ran and on what terms.
When an offer ends, its code disappears automatically from the steps on the partner page and from the comparisons.
Who decides the order
We set the order of the offers ourselves: by the benefit to you, such as a discount or bonus via our link or code, and by our assessment of the provider. An offer with an end date can temporarily rank higher.
No one pays for a position, and the size of our commission plays no part. We may, however, earn from partner links.
Prices and articles
Prices of home miners
Every Monday our database automatically reads the prices that MineShop, Power Mining and Bitaxe.de publish on their own sites. Each price shows the shop and the date we read it.
If the last reading is more than 15 days old, we stop showing an amount and point you to the current price at the shop. If a shop lists its prices excluding VAT, we say so.
Corrections to articles
If a fact changes in an article that is already online, we update it. At the top you then see “Updated on” with the date and what changed, in every language of the article.
Spotted a mistake? Report it via the contact page. We look into it and correct it if it's wrong.
Sponsored articles
A sponsored article is written by our own editorial team, with the same checks as our news. At the top it says “Sponsored” with the name of the client, and every link to another site is marked as sponsored for search engines.
The label also appears next to the article in our lists, such as the news overview and the search results.
Who does this
Lynn writes the articles. Andreas, the founder, checks every article and approves every change to an offer.
The partner's own terms always take precedence. Read them before you use a code or offer.
