Closest to a block
The heaviest share per chain, measured against the target for a block. A near miss is not progress: every new share starts the lottery from scratch. The record per chain stays, even when the pool restarts and the best share of the current round starts again from zero.
How to read these figures
- Hashrate
- The computing power running on the pool right now. More hashrate means more tickets in the draw, not a fixed payout.
- Chance of a block
- Calculated from the pool's hashrate and the network difficulty. A 1% chance per day means one block every hundred days on average; it could land tomorrow or much later.
- Best share
- The hardest solution a miner has found so far. If a share clears the network target, it is a block and the reward goes to the finder.
