Cookie policy

1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that a website places on your device. Your browser’s local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) can do the same. The rules for cookies also apply to that storage, so we list all of them below.
2. What we store on your device
We do not set any cookies ourselves: everything below is kept in your browser’s local storage. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or social media pixels. Everything in this table is needed for a feature you use yourself, and therefore does not require consent.

Our hosting and security provider Cloudflare runs a brief check on every page to detect bots, and may set a cookie when doing so (for example __cf_bm or cf_clearance). These cookies are strictly necessary for the security of the site.
3. The choices in the cookie banner
- Necessary: always on. This is the storage listed in the table above.
- Affiliate / referral: with your consent we record your click on an outgoing link, such as a partner link (which link, on which page, type of device and country), without linking it to you. Without your consent we record nothing; the links work exactly the same.
We do not measure visitor behaviour and do not use analytics cookies. If we ever start doing so, we will first update this cookie policy and ask for your consent.
4. Provider cookies after you click a partner link
CryptoCodes.eu earns money through affiliate and referral partnerships with crypto platforms. If you click a partner link, you land on that provider’s site via a link containing our partner code. The provider may then set a cookie on its own site to record that you came via CryptoCodes.eu; on that basis we may receive a commission.
Some partner links first pass through the server of an affiliate network, which may then also set a cookie. These cookies are set by the network and the provider themselves, on their own domain, under their own cookie and privacy policies. They also ask for your consent for them there. We have no control over which cookies these are or how long they remain.
5. Content from other parties
Photos come from Unsplash, prices and coin logos from CoinGecko, and the Fear & Greed Index from alternative.me. Your browser fetches these directly from them, which means they see your IP address. You can read more about this in our privacy policy.
6. Changing or withdrawing your choice
On your first visit, the site shows a cookie banner. Your choice is valid for twelve months; after that we ask again. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the button below. Your choice applies to the edition (the domain) on which you make it; on another edition we ask again.
7. Deleting or blocking storage in your browser
You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you delete this site’s data, your language, theme and cookie choice will also be removed, and we will ask for them again.
