Kraken stops withdrawals of 21 tokens on 6 November and sells what is left from 9 to 13 November. Which tokens, and what should you do?

Kraken stops withdrawals of 21 tokens on 6 November 2026 at 14:00 UTC, which is 15:00 Dutch time. Whatever is still in your account then, Kraken sells between 9 and 13 November. This comes from Kraken's notice on the July 2026 delistings, updated on 19 October 2026. At the time of writing on 25 October 2026, 12 days are left. It is not the only round: there are three running, with deadlines on 6 November, 10 December and 29 January.

Kraken delisting in short

  • Next deadline: you can withdraw the 21 tokens from the July round until 6 November 2026 at 14:00 UTC (15:00 Dutch time, 14:00 in Portugal).
  • After that: Kraken sells whatever is left between 9 and 13 November 2026. According to the notice, the proceeds may be ‘significantly below recent reference prices’ and sometimes minimal or nil.
  • Trading is already closed: deposits and trading in these tokens stopped on 10 August 2026 at 14:00 UTC. So you can no longer sell them on Kraken, only withdraw them.
  • Two rounds behind it: August (21 tokens, withdraw until 10 December 2026) and October (13 tokens, withdraw until 29 January 2027).
  • For clients in the EEA: for U2U and ESX, which are on the July list, Kraken states in a separate notice of 19 October 2026 that they were already liquidated for EEA clients in May and June.
  • The downside: if you do nothing, you lose the choice. According to the notice, this is because of limited market liquidity at the time of sale, and it does not say at what price the sale happens.

The three rounds under way

All times come from Kraken's notices and are in UTC. Since 25 October 2026 the Netherlands has been on winter time (UTC+1), so the deadlines of 6 November, 10 December and 29 January fall at 15:00, 16:00 and 16:00 Dutch time.

October 20261323 October 2026, 14:0029 January 2027, 15:001 to 12 February 2027

That makes 55 tokens in three rounds. Between the end of trading and the end of withdrawals there are always about three months: 88 days for the July round (10 August to 6 November), 90 days for August (11 September to 10 December) and 98 days for October (23 October to 29 January). We have already covered the October round in Kraken delisting: 13 tokens, withdraw by 29 January. This article is about the two earlier rounds, the first of which expires first.

Which tokens are in the first two rounds?

July 2026 (withdraw until 6 November): SIDEKICK, AI3, LOCKIN, SLAY, MNGO, GHIBLI, HOUSE, ACX, OMNI, KP3R, KIN, NTRN, KOBAN, HIPPO, CLV, WEN, KEY, YALA, TREMP, ESX and U2U.

August 2026 (withdraw until 10 December): XTER, IR, GAIA, SCA, VANRY, BNC, SBR, RBC, MIR, JUNO, HDX, ACA, MULTI, RIZE, EPT, MAT, CQT, CXT, BKS, VULT and M.

Search your balance for these tickers. A small dust balance counts too: it is sold just the same. You will find the October list in the earlier article.

What is different for clients in the EEA?

On 19 October 2026 Kraken published a separate notice for clients in the EEA and Canada about two tokens from the July list, U2U Network (U2U) and EstateX (ESX). It states that deposits and trading stopped on 27 February 2026 at 14:00 UTC, withdrawals on 28 May 2026 at 14:00 UTC, and that remaining balances were liquidated between 29 May and 5 June 2026. There, too, Kraken warns that the proceeds may have been ‘minimal or no proceeds’ because of a lack of market liquidity.

For a client in the EEA, U2U and ESX on the July list are therefore probably no longer something you can still withdraw: according to the EEA notice, those two were already sold in May and June. For you that would mean 19 tokens instead of 21 in the July round, and 53 instead of 55 across all three rounds. That is how we read the two notices, but Kraken does not say it in a single sentence. Check in your own account whether you still hold U2U or ESX. Why Kraken started earlier for the EEA is not stated anywhere in the notices.

What can you do?

  1. Check whether you hold any of these tokens. Open your balance at Kraken and search for the tickers above.
  2. Withdraw before 14:00 UTC on 6 November. After that it is no longer possible. Withdraw to a wallet whose keys you control yourself, or to another exchange that trades the token. First check that the wallet or exchange supports the token and the network: the wrong network can cost you your balance. You will find help choosing on our page choosing a crypto wallet.
  3. Test with a small amount. If you are using an address for the first time, send a small amount first and the rest afterwards. Withdrawals may carry network fees; Kraken lists them.
  4. Do not wait until the last day. If a withdrawal gets stuck, you will have no time left on 6 November to fix it.
  5. No token from the list? Then you do not need to do anything.

If you use Kraken yourself, also read our Kraken review on costs and on what the platform does and does not do. A delisting says nothing about the safety of the rest of your balance: it concerns this list of tokens, not the custody of your bitcoin or euros.

What does doing nothing cost?

A worked example, for illustration only and not a forecast: suppose your balance is worth 250 euros at the reference price and the sale in an empty market yields only 10 per cent of that. Then you keep 25 euros and 225 euros is gone. If the proceeds fall to nil, as Kraken puts it (‘minimal or nil’), it is zero. Nobody knows in advance how much it will be: it depends on the market at the time of sale. The notice names no price, no currency and no method.

What does this mean for you as a European investor?

Across Europe. The notices name no countries and say only that ‘geographic restrictions may apply’. So assume it applies to European clients of Kraken, and check your account. The EEA notice is the exception described above.

Tax. If you sell a token, or have it sold automatically, that may be a taxable event in your country. Whether a withdrawal to your own wallet counts as a sale differs from country to country. You will find an overview per country at crypto tax in Europe. Treat this as explanation and not as advice.

Custody. If you left your tokens on the exchange, the exchange decides what happens. Whoever withdraws to their own wallet keeps that in their own hands.

What it does not say. A delisting does not mean that a project has failed, nor that the price will fall. It only means that Kraken no longer offers the token.

What is not certain yet

  • The price of the sale. Kraken names no price, no currency and no method. The proceeds may be minimal or nil.
  • U2U and ESX on the July list. The July notice names both tokens, while the EEA notice says they have already been liquidated for the EEA. Whether you still hold a balance or an exception, we cannot see. Check your account.
  • The reason why. The July notice gives no reason for the delisting, and we do not know why Kraken started earlier for clients in the EEA.
  • Per country. The notices refer to Kraken's legal information per jurisdiction. We could not find a list of countries.
  • Checking at the source. Kraken's pages load with scripts; we read them through a tool that summarises the content. Check the dates on Kraken's own pages before you withdraw.

This article is not investment advice. Crypto can lose a great deal of value and you can lose your entire investment.
