Bitaxe price: what a home miner costs at three shops
Bitaxe.de, Power Mining and MineShop compared on 14 October: price after discount code, shipping, payment, warranty and stock. Plus: what solo mining really is.

On 14 October 2026 a Bitaxe Gamma costs €87.87 to €132.05 after discount code, depending on the shop. The cheapest unit is sold out and the second cheapest will not ship until the end of October. We compared home miner prices at our three mining partners: Bitaxe.de from Estonia, a partner since today, Power Mining from Latvia and MineShop from Ireland. MineShop shows prices excluding VAT; we converted them at the Dutch VAT rate of 21%.
Buying a Bitaxe: the short version
- Ready to ship: only Bitaxe.de had the Bitaxe Gamma in stock: €139, or €132.05 with code CRYPTOCODES5.
- Cheaper, but later: Power Mining charges €121, or €108.90 with the code, for a pre-order that ships at the end of October. At MineShop the Gamma was sold out.
- Mid-range: a 4.8 TH/s NerdQaxe++ costs €326.70 after the code at Power Mining and €331.55 at Bitaxe.de; MineShop sells the Rev6.1 for €222.85 with the code and 21% VAT.
- Discount codes: CRYPTOCODES5 gives 5% at Bitaxe.de, CRYPTOCODES 10% at Power Mining and 3% at MineShop.
- Shipping: free from €300 at Bitaxe.de and from €150 at Power Mining; MineShop calculates the amount at checkout.
- Solo mining: at 1.3 TH/s you find a block once every 13,900 years on average. It is a lottery, not an income.
Bitaxe price per shop on 14 October
Prices as the shops showed them on their product pages on 14 October 2026. "With code" is our calculation; at MineShop it is the price excluding VAT minus 3%, plus 21% VAT. For every device in the tables, the shop lists a power supply in the box. "Orderable" means Power Mining accepts the order without mentioning a pre-order or waiting time.
Entry level: around €140
All three shops sell the same BM1370 chip, but each states a different performance: 1.3 TH/s at 15 W (Bitaxe.de), 1.1 TH/s at 18 W (Power Mining) and 1.0 to 1.2 TH/s at 15 to 17 W (MineShop). Bitaxe.de measured 1.2 TH/s at 17 W itself. Bitaxe.de also sells a Gamma with a copper cooler, 1.5 TH/s, for €179 (€170.05 after the code). Between entry level and mid-range sit the two-chip models: Power Mining's Gamma Turbo (€185.13 after the code, pre-order) and Bitaxe.de's Bitaxe GT (€217.55, sold out), plus the Nerdaxe Gaia with the new BM1373 chip, 2.6 TH/s at 25 W, for €236.55 after the code; Bitaxe.de ships it from 7 November.
Mid-range: €300 to €350
MineShop is the cheapest in this class, but according to its product pages it can take up to 7 working days after payment to ship the NerdQaxe++ and the Avalon Nano 3S, and those pages say "All sales are final". At Bitaxe.de the Avalon Nano 3S, at €299, falls just below the free shipping threshold; the NerdQaxe++ only ships there in about 12 days. Power Mining also sells the NerdQaxe++ without a power supply, for €338.80.
Bigger: 8 TH/s and up
Power Mining has no NerdQX. Bitaxe.de also sells the water-cooled NerdOctaxe Hydro, 14 TH/s, for €799 (in stock); the 12 TH/s NerdOctaxe (€699) was sold out. The bigger the device, the more power it uses: 140 W is well over 1,200 kWh a year.
Shipping, payment and warranty per shop
Bitaxe.de. The shop belongs to Nanohash OÜ from Tallinn, Estonia (registry code 17442825), and has been online since March 2023. It calls itself the first European supplier of open-source home miners and says it has supplied more than 5,000 home miners; that is its own figure. Prices include VAT. Bitaxe.de ships with UPS from a warehouse in the EU: within the EU (except Cyprus and Malta) from €7.81, depending on country and weight, and free from €300. A parcel usually arrives within 2 to 4 working days; items in stock leave within 24 hours on working days. You can pay in bitcoin, on-chain or via Lightning, with a 5% discount; with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay via Revolut at no extra cost; with PayPal at a 3% surcharge; or by bank transfer in advance. As a consumer you have the statutory warranty, but according to the terms not for a defect caused by overclocking, modified firmware or hardware, use outside the specifications or an unsuitable power supply. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Estonian law applies, without affecting the mandatory protection of your own country. The shop says it does not take part in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.
Power Mining. Power Mining SIA is based in Latvia, with an address in Garkalne and a returns address in Riga. The company has built mining containers since 2017 and has made the Bitaxe Gamma and the NerdQaxe++ itself since the end of 2024. Prices include VAT. Power Mining ships from Latvia, free within the EU from €150 and free by express from €450. Below that, the checkout calculates the cost; no rate is published on the site. You can pay by credit card, PayPal or bitcoin via BTCPay. The shop says two things about its warranty: the FAQ page mentions two years for consumers in the EU, the returns page 90 days on manufacturing defects. You can return an item within 14 days of delivery if it is unused and in its original packaging; you pay the return shipping and the original shipping costs yourself. Latvian law applies.
MineShop. MineShop belongs to Mining Hardware Limited from Dundalk, Ireland (company number 596721), has been online since 2016 and ships from Ireland and Latvia with DHL or FedEx. Prices are shown excluding VAT by default. According to the terms, the VAT of your delivery country may be applied at checkout; we used 21%. The "incl. VAT" button on the site calculates with 23%, the Irish rate; if the checkout charges that, you pay about 1.7% more than in our tables. Express shipping takes 1 to 2 working days and economy 2 to 6; you see the cost at checkout, and shipping is only free during promotions. You can pay in bitcoin (on-chain and Lightning via BTCPay), USDC on Polygon, by SEPA bank transfer, with Visa or Mastercard via Revolut, Apple Pay and Google Pay. A card payment can be at most €5,000, and the shop may ask for a photo of your card, a utility bill and an identity document. If you paid in crypto, a refund comes as store credit. For the warranty, the terms refer to the manufacturer, alongside your statutory rights. The FAQ page mentions 3 to 12 months for ASIC miners, the Gamma page two years for home miners and the Avalon Nano 3S page 360 days. Returns within 14 days are only possible for unopened items; for an opened but unused device the shop decides case by case. According to the terms, this does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Irish law applies.
What solo mining with a home miner realistically means
A Bitaxe or NerdQaxe++ usually mines solo: if it finds a block, the block reward of 3.125 BTC and the transaction fees go to your own address; otherwise you get nothing. At the difficulty of 14 October (132.7 trillion, according to mempool.space), a 1.3 TH/s miner finds a block once every 13,900 years on average, a chance of about 1 in 5 million per day; at 6 TH/s that is once every 3,000 years and at 8 TH/s once every 2,260 years. Power Mining itself calls home miners hobby devices from which you should not expect financial returns. The power consumption, on the other hand, is certain: 15 W is about 131 kWh a year, 140 W well over 1,200 kWh. What that costs at your rate, and how much heat you get back for it, you can work out in our heat calculator; the maths for a miner as a heater is in Miner as a heater: cheaper than gas?. You choose the pool yourself: Bitaxe.de runs pool.bitaxe.de with a 0% fee and servers in Frankfurt, and our own solo pool charges 1%. More about mining at home is on our mining page.
What is not certain yet
- The Bitaxe.de code. CRYPTOCODES5 comes from the Bitaxe.de partner dashboard; we have not tested it in the basket. Whether it can be combined with the 5% discount for paying in bitcoin, we do not know. We tested the Power Mining (10%) and MineShop (3%) codes in the basket on 28 September.
- Shipping costs. Power Mining (below €150) and MineShop do not state a fixed amount. None of the three says whether a free shipping threshold applies before or after the discount.
- VAT at MineShop. 21% is our calculation; the checkout determines the amount.
- Delivery times. "End of October" at Power Mining and "7 November" for the Nerdaxe Gaia at Bitaxe.de are the shops' own expectations. For the Avalon Nano 3S, MineShop still mentions a June delivery, which does not match 14 October.
- The chance of a block. On 14 October mempool.space expected the difficulty to rise by about 5.5% around 16 October; your chance then falls proportionally.
