Bitpanda: MiCA status October 2026

The MiCA authorisation for Bitpanda is held by Bitpanda GmbH and was granted by the FMA in Austria on 9 April 2025. Passporting extends it to 30 countries, including the Netherlands.

The authorisation covers custody, exchange for funds and for other crypto-assets, execution and transmission of orders, placing and transfers. A trading platform, advice and portfolio management fall outside it.
Note
ESMA still lists LEI 5493007WZ7IFULIL8G21, which GLEIF retired after a merger on 20 February 2026. The authorised legal entity now carries LEI 98450086582EV2FFC109.
