On 10 November 2026 at 07:00 UTC, Binance is closing Binance Pool and the services around it. That is 08:00 Dutch time (CET). If you are still sending hashrate to the pool at that moment, no shares will be credited to you. This is stated in Binance's announcement of 13 October 2026. At the time of writing, there are four days to go.

Binance Pool closing in short

  • What is closing: Binance Pool, Pool Savings, Cloud Mining, the Transaction Accelerator, the pool API and the hashrate alerts via Telegram and email.
  • When: 10 November 2026, 07:00 UTC (08:00 CET). After that, the stratum addresses and other mining endpoints are switched off.
  • What you need to do: point your miner at another pool before that time, cancel or redeem Pool Savings, and save your data.
  • What Binance counts: shares submitted before 07:00 UTC count towards the final settlement under the pool's rules. After that, nothing more accrues.
  • Last deadline for your account: 10 November, 23:59 UTC (11 November, 00:59 CET), for identity verification and other steps needed to receive remaining rewards, refunds or settlements.
  • The downside: Binance gives no reason beyond an ongoing review of its products and services, and does not say how long it will take before a remaining balance is paid out.

The dates at a glance

Binance works in UTC. In the Netherlands and Belgium it has been winter time since 25 October, so UTC plus one hour. The same applies in Spain, France, Germany and Poland; in Portugal, UTC itself applies.

Moment (UTC)In CETWhat happens
10 November 2026, 07:0010 November, 08:00The pool closes. Connections are cut, endpoints are switched off, shares are no longer counted.
10 November 2026, 23:5911 November, 00:59Last moment for verification and other account steps to be able to receive remaining rewards or settlements.
24 November 2026, 07:0024 November, 08:00The pool pages with history, account details and payout status are no longer accessible.

On 10 November, the links to Binance Pool also disappear from Binance's home page. The pool pages remain viewable until 24 November, so 14 days. It is better to download your data earlier.

What you need to do as a miner

1. Choose a new pool and test it before 10 November. Point your miner at the new pool while Binance Pool is still running. That way you can see in your dashboard whether the shares arrive, and you can go back if something goes wrong. Do not wait until the last hour: that is a precaution of ours, not an instruction from Binance.

2. Check what the new pool pays and when. Pools differ in payout method, fee, minimum payout amount and the way you set up your address or account. Read this on the pool itself. We do not compare fees here, because we have not opened any rates that we can verify.

3. Change the payout address wherever Binance Pool was used. Is a Binance address set as the destination address in another pool, a script or an automated order? Check it. That way a later payout will not go to an address you no longer use.

4. Save your data. Binance asks you to download reports and transaction history. You may need them for your tax return on mining income.

5. Check your account. Binance mentions two things: your account must be able to receive remaining rewards or settlements, and that may mean identity verification. The deadline for this is 10 November, 23:59 UTC.

What changes for Pool Savings and Cloud Mining

Pool Savings and Cloud Mining close on the same day. Binance writes that you must cancel or redeem your Pool Savings positions before the end of the service. On Cloud Mining, the announcement only says that the service is closing; what happens to running contracts, Binance does not say.

Do you have cloud mining or rented hashrate with another provider? Then nothing changes for your contract. If you want to know how such offers work, read our piece Cloud mining or rent hashrate: 24 hours or a year? and the page on renting hashrate.

How big was Binance Pool?

According to mempool.space, Binance Pool found 2 of the 983 blocks in the seven days to 6 November 2026. That is roughly 0.2% of the bitcoin network. That is a snapshot over one week, and with so few blocks the figure can fluctuate widely.

For the network as a whole, the pool therefore looks small. For anyone mining with it, though, it is a hard deadline: your hashrate has to go somewhere. For what is expected from the coming difficulty adjustment, see our article on Bitcoin difficulty adjustment 13 November: −3.6% expected.

Solo instead of in a pool: a calculation

If you work with a pool, you receive a small amount for each share of the work you submit, even if the pool itself rarely finds a block. Solo mining works differently: you only get something when your miner finds a block itself. That is why, for a home miner, solo is mostly a lottery.

This is our own calculation, not something Binance or mempool.space publishes. We take a network hashrate of about 1,034.7 EH/s, the figure from mempool.space on 6 November 2026, and one block every ten minutes:

MinerHashrateExpected wait for a blockChance per year
Bitaxe (small model)1.2 TH/sabout 16,400 yearsabout 0.006%
Heavier home miner6 TH/sabout 3,300 yearsabout 0.03%

If you still want to try it, you can do so on the CryptoCode solo pool, for example. That is our own pool: when a block is found, 99% goes to your address and the pool keeps 1%, according to our 27 September article, CryptoCode solo pool is live: BTC, BCH, LTC and DOGE. So we earn from it, and the chance of a block is as in the table: very small. Do not count on it paying back your electricity costs.

What does this mean for you as a European investor?

Binance writes nothing country-specific: the end date and the times are the same for everyone. What differs per country is the tax on mining income and on what you sell later. We cannot work that out with sources for every country here. The page on crypto tax in Europe is the starting point, and a local tax adviser the end point.

Time. Convert the times to your time zone. In the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain and Poland it is CET (UTC+1). In Portugal it is UTC itself, so 07:00.

Scams. When a service closes, scammers send messages saying you must ‘claim your balance’ via a link. Only open the announcement on Binance's own website and never give your seed phrase or your password. More checks are in the crypto security checklist.

New hardware. If you want to replace or expand hardware while you are switching pool anyway, take a look at home miners and devices. That is not advice to buy: work out electricity costs and returns first.

What is not certain yet

  • What happens to Cloud Mining contracts: Binance says the service is closing, but not what happens to a running contract or to paid-for, unused term.
  • When and how remaining balances are paid out: Binance writes that they will be processed after the closure, depending on product terms, account status, risk checks, compliance and applicable law. No timeframe is given.
  • Where the payout goes: the announcement does not say whether a balance goes to your regular Binance account or is paid in some other way.
  • The exact date of the notice: the Binance page says 13 October 2026; one of the news sites writes that the notice was posted on 12 October. We use 13 October, as on the Binance page itself, and note the difference here.
  • Reason: Binance only mentions an ongoing review of products and services.
  • What other pools offer: we have not opened the fees and terms of other pools, so we make no recommendation.

This article is not investment advice. Crypto can lose a lot of value and you could lose your entire stake.
