Ledger discount at BTC Direct: only 2 of 5 models
BTC Direct Shop advertises “20% off Ledger”, but on 27 August 2026 only the Flex and Nano X are reduced. Eight accessories fall 43% to 44%. No end date.

BTC Direct Shop runs an orange bar across the top of every page: “20% off Ledger”. Checked on 27 August 2026, that discount applies to two of the five Ledger models in the shop. The Nano S Plus, the Nano Gen5 and the Stax are all sitting at their usual price. The shop has not published an end date anywhere.
Which two models are included
Which three are not
That is not a complaint about the shop — a banner has very little room to work with. But it does change what the sentence means. Anyone who clicks on “20% off Ledger” to pick up the newest model puts the Nano Gen5 in their basket at the full €179.00.
And it turns the pecking order upside down. With the discount the Flex costs €199.00; without one the Nano Gen5 costs €179.00. The more expensive device is on offer, the newer device is not, and so twenty euros separate them instead of seventy.
The accessories fall twice as far
Eight Ledger accessories are down by 43% to 44%, comfortably more than double the cut on the devices themselves. That is the sharpest price in this promotion, and it is not on the banner.
A case, for what it is worth, protects the device, not your holdings. What secures your crypto is the recovery phrase, and that belongs somewhere else entirely rather than in a case — see our guide to self-custody.
The bundles: do the sums
Two bundles are running with a SOLIDHODL seed backup, the metal plate your recovery phrase is stamped into.
Those percentages say less than the gap underneath them. On its own the Flex costs €199.00 and in the bundle €249.00: there, the seed backup costs you €50.00. On its own the Nano X costs €79.00 and in the bundle €143.00: the same backup costs €64.00 there.
Fourteen euros apart for the same plate. If you want the backup as well, the Flex bundle is the better of the two — not because the percentage is higher, but because the amount you pay on top is lower.
How long does the promotion run?
There is no telling, and that is an answer you rarely read. We went through the banner, the Ledger collection, the discount collection, the value bundles and a product page: nowhere is there an end date, a run time or a countdown clock. The page the banner points to is headed “Discount promotions”.
A shop promotion with no published end date can expire tomorrow or stand for weeks yet. We are not attaching a date the shop itself does not give. The price that appears in your basket is the only hard fact.
You do not need a code
BTC Direct Shop does not work with discount codes. The reduction is in the price and is applied automatically. If you see a “BTC Direct discount code” advertised somewhere, entering it buys you nothing more cheaply. What we have verified about this shop is on our offers page; how the shop itself is put together — and why BTC Direct’s MiCA authorisation does not cover the web shop — is set out in our piece on the shop.
Who this is a poor moment for
- You already have a working hardware wallet. A second device does not make you safer. A second place for your recovery phrase does.
- You want the cheapest entry-level model. The Nano S Plus stands at €49.00 and is not included; that price will not shift whether you wait or buy today.
- You are still weighing up brands. Ledger is not the only answer — our comparison puts Ledger and Trezor side by side. Twenty per cent off the wrong device is not a discount.
Frequently asked questions
Does the 20% apply to every Ledger model?
No. On 27 August 2026 only to the Ledger Flex (€249.00 → €199.00) and the Ledger Nano X (€99.00 → €79.00). The Nano S Plus, the Nano Gen5 and the Stax are at their usual price.
Do I need a discount code?
No. BTC Direct Shop does not use discount codes; the reduction is in the price.
How long does the discount run?
The shop does not say. There is no end date on the banner, on the collection pages or on the product pages.
Is the discounted Ledger Flex now cheaper than the Nano Gen5?
No. With the discount the Flex comes to €199.00, while the Nano Gen5 stands at €179.00 without one. The gap has narrowed, but the Gen5 remains the cheaper of the two.
Do I get free delivery?
From €60.00 upwards, yes. What the shop charges below that only shows up in the basket.
What we could not establish
- The end date of the promotion. It is published nowhere.
- Whether the same prices apply on the English, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese editions of the shop. We checked the Dutch edition only.
- The delivery charge below €60.00. That is calculated only in the basket.
All prices checked on 27 August 2026 on the Dutch edition of shop.btcdirect.eu (the Ledger collection, the discount collection and the product pages). The only primary source for these prices is the shop itself; for the day’s price in a web shop there is no independent second source. Prices can change — what stands at checkout is what counts.
