Bybit promo: the cashback closed, the card bonus did not
Registration for Bybit's cashback promo closed on 31 July, but the countdown on the page runs to 2027. The card welcome package up to €120 is still live.
On 15 August 2026, Bybit''s promotional page for "Move Your Funds, Get Rewarded" is still fully in place: up to 30,000 US dollars in cashback on display, buttons reading "Sign up" and "Register for this promotion", and a countdown clock at roughly 359 days. The one thing you cannot do is register. That closed on 31 July 2026 at 10:00 UTC.
In short
Registration for the cashback campaign closed on 31 July 2026 at 10:00 UTC · the countdown clock on the same page runs into August 2027, because it counts down the payout period · the lowest tier required 50,000 US dollars in deposits · the card welcome package of up to €120 is still running.
The clock counts down a different period than you think
On 15 August the countdown stood at roughly 359 days. That points to 10 August 2027: the date on which the final monthly cashback instalment is paid out to people who registered in June or July. It is the end of the payout period, not of the registration window.
For anyone landing on that page today, the clock means nothing. The page reads as "almost a year left" while the door shut a fortnight ago. That is why this article exists: not one comparison site that mentions this promotion tells you that you can no longer sign up for it.
What the terms say
Part A of the promotional terms leaves little room. The campaign is "open only to users who … successfully register for the Promotion through the Promotional Page during the period from 18 June 2026 10AM UTC until 31 July 2026 10AM UTC". The FAQ on the same page repeats that closing date independently.
The press release in which Bybit EU announced the campaign gives 19 June to 31 July 2026 as the run time. The two sources differ by a day on the start. On the close, they agree.
The tiers were never aimed at retail
Even if registration had still been open, this was not a promotion for someone putting in a few hundred euros a month.
The cashback is 3 percent annualised on your crypto deposits, paid monthly in USDC over twelve months. The lowest tier starts at 50,000 US dollars in cumulative crypto deposits, with a requirement of 300,000 US dollars in monthly spot volume on top. That combination pays 125 US dollars a month, so 1,500 US dollars over a year. The 30,000 US dollars in the headline belongs to the ceiling of 1,000,000 US dollars in deposits.
One more detail the headline omits: only crypto deposits count. Transferring euros and then buying crypto on the platform does not.
The €30 welcome gift lapses if you sign up through a referral link
Separately from the campaign, Bybit EU gives new users a welcome gift of €30 in bitcoin after depositing at least €100 within seven days of registration. Clause 7 of those terms says: "Users who created an account with a Referral code or link are not eligible for rewards."
That hits our own readers, so we are writing it down. Cryptocode is a Bybit affiliate partner. Anyone opening an account through a link on this site arrives via a partner link, which is why we cannot promise you that €30.
What we cannot pin down: Bybit runs referral and affiliate as two separate programmes internally, and the published text does not reveal whether an affiliate link falls under that same exclusion. As long as it is not in writing anywhere, we assume the unfavourable reading and do not list that gift as a bonus.
What is running: the card package of up to €120
The Bybit Card welcome package is separate from the closed campaign and has no end date. It has two parts.
- €10 if you top up €100 within fourteen days of your card application being approved.
- 10 percent cashback up to €110 in the first thirty days, and only on transport, fashion, restaurants, beauty, travel, airlines and hotels. Topping up e-wallets such as Revolut and Wise does not count.
The conditions: your card application must have been approved on or after 9 April 2026, identity verification level 1 is mandatory, you register separately on the promotional page, and you live in the European Economic Area except Malta.
There is also cashback on subscriptions — Netflix, Prime, TradingView, Spotify, OpenAI — up to €50 in your first month as a cardholder. Whether that sits on top of the €110 cap or inside it appears nowhere in the terms. So do not add your way to €170. What we have verified at this moment is on our offer page.
Which Bybit this is
Everything above concerns bybit.eu. On 28 May 2025, Bybit EU GmbH received a MiCAR authorisation from the Austrian competent authority FMA under Article 63 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1114, covering five crypto-asset services including custody and the exchange of crypto-assets for funds. Derivatives are not among them and do not appear on the European site. Terms you read on the global site do not apply here.
What we could not verify
- The requirement of 300,000 US dollars in monthly spot volume appears in the promotional terms on the campaign page itself. The press release confirms only that a minimum spot volume applies, without naming a figure.
- Whether an affiliate link falls under the same exclusion as a referral link.
- Whether the €50 subscription cashback sits on top of the €110 cap.
- The reading on the countdown clock is our own observation of the page on 15 August 2026. Bybit can change or remove that clock at any time.
