Money leaves bitcoin ETFs and flows to XRP and Solana
While investors pulled billions out of bitcoin and ethereum ETFs, XRP ETFs have drawn over 1 billion dollars since launch — without a single day of net outflow. Solana is following. Analysts call it rotation, not an exodus.
Something striking is happening under the hood of the crypto ETF market. While bitcoin ETFs have seen around 3.6 billion dollars (roughly €3.15 billion) in outflows since November and ethereum ETFs lost over 1.2 billion dollars (roughly €1.05 billion), the newer XRP and Solana ETFs did the opposite. XRP funds have drawn more than 1 billion dollars (roughly €875 million) since launch — without a single day of net outflow.
XRP ETFs: not one day in the red
The XRP ETFs went live in November 2025 and grew steadily to a combined market value of around 690 million dollars (roughly €604 million). The largest: the Bitwise XRP ETF at 245 million dollars (roughly €214 million), followed by Canary (226 million dollars) and Franklin (168 million dollars). That not a single day saw net outflows is exceptional for such a young product.
Solana climbing too
Solana ETFs are pulling in capital as well: around 387 million dollars (roughly €339 million) since launch. The Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) now manages nearly 596 million dollars (roughly €521 million) in assets. In one recent week, XRP and Solana together still drew 49 million dollars (roughly €43 million), while bitcoin ETFs lost 526 million dollars (roughly €460 million).
Rotation, not an exodus
‘XRP and Solana pulled in a combined 49 million dollars in net inflows,’ while bitcoin and ethereum saw outflows — suggesting that ‘institutional capital is rotating rather than simply exiting the crypto space.’ A sign of diversification: large investors are spreading beyond bitcoin and ethereum. The fact that even Vanguard (11 trillion dollars in assets under management) reversed course in late 2025 and allowed crypto trading underscores that shift.
What does it mean?
European investors usually can't buy these US spot ETFs directly, but the signal matters: institutional interest is broadening into altcoins. A caveat: the sums are still modest next to bitcoin, and at 1.88 dollars (roughly €1.65) the XRP price is still around 49% below its record of 3.65 dollars from July 2025. One strong inflow trend is no guarantee either. ‘We expect a price pattern resembling what we saw with bitcoin and ethereum, but on a much smaller scale,’ analyst Jonathan Yark cautions.
