Latvia's Power Mining is a new CryptoCode partner. The company builds the open-source home miners Bitaxe Gamma and NerdQaxe++ in-house and sells them from €121 for a Bitaxe Gamma to €462 for a 6 TH/s NerdQaxe++. The code CRYPTOCODES takes 10% off your order; on a 4.8 TH/s NerdQaxe++ that is €36.30.
Who is Power Mining?
Power Mining started in 2017 as a builder of bitcoin mining containers and, by its own count, has delivered more than a hundred. In 2022 it added its own power distribution units for mining sites. Since late 2024 the team has also built home miners: the Bitaxe Gamma and the NerdQaxe++, two open-source designs. The shop is in Garkalne, just outside Riga, and ships from Latvia, so there are no import duties within the EU.

The NerdQaxe++ up close
The NerdQaxe++ runs on Bitmain BM1370 chips and has its own small screen showing hashrate, temperature, fan speed and power draw. Power Mining's product photos show 4,528 GH/s at 66.25 watts and 4,870 GH/s at 82.75 watts. So plan on 65 to 85 watts, day and night. That is 580 to 725 kWh a year, or €174 to €217 of electricity at €0.30 per kWh.
What does it earn?
Probably nothing, and that is part of the deal. A NerdQaxe++ is a lottery miner. At 4.8 TH/s against a network of 935 EH/s (mempool.space, 28 September), your chance per block is about 1 in 195 million. Over a whole year that is roughly 1 in 3,700. If the block does land, you get the full block reward of 3.125 bitcoin plus transaction fees.
So who is it for? People who enjoy taking part themselves, people who put the heat to use in winter anyway, and people who would rather run their own hardware than rent hashrate. Run your electricity price through the heat calculator first.
Solo mining on our pool
