OKX promotion: up to €400 in USDC across six separate tasks (August 2026)
OKX is giving new European users up to €400 in USDC through CryptoCode. The six tasks stand alone — verification on its own is already worth €100. We set out the amounts, the small print and the maths.
OKX has launched a new welcome promotion for European users. Sign up through the CryptoCode partner link and you can earn up to €400 in USDC across six separate steps. None of them is compulsory: you take the tasks that suit you and leave the rest.
What the promotion involves
The promotion is aimed at new OKX users who register via the partner link. The reward is paid out in USDC rather than in bitcoin. That marks a change from earlier OKX campaigns: the value is fixed the moment you earn it and no longer moves with the crypto market after that.
The six tasks are independent of one another. Verify your identity and nothing else, and you walk away with €100. Work through the whole ladder and you end up at €400.
The six tasks and what they pay
Completing identity verification is worth €100. Applying for an OKX Card and making three transactions with it pays €10. After that it becomes a combination of depositing and trading: deposit from €100 and trade €500 for €10; deposit from €2,000 and trade €5,000 for €40; deposit from €10,000 and trade €30,000 for €80; and deposit from €30,000 and trade €100,000 for €160.
Added together, that comes to €400. The proportions are striking: the first task, which requires you to put in nothing at all, is also the single biggest reward in the whole promotion.
What does and does not count
Two restrictions decide whether a task counts. For the deposit tasks, only cash and crypto deposits qualify; an internal transfer between your own OKX accounts does not. For the trading tasks, only non-stablecoins count, so swapping USDT for USDC will not move you any closer to the next rung.
That last point is no small detail. Stablecoin pairs have the tightest spreads and are therefore the cheapest way to rack up volume. By excluding them, OKX makes sure the volume comes from genuine market positions.
OKX and MiCA
OKX serves the European market through OKX Europe, which received a MiCA authorisation from the Maltese competent authority, the MFSA, in early 2025. That is the full CASP authorisation, the one that lets a platform passport its services across the entire European Economic Area, and not a temporary national registration.
In practice, that means client funds held separately from the firm’s own funds, a documented complaints procedure and a competent authority inside the EU you can turn to. It does not mean your money is guaranteed — MiCA is not a deposit guarantee scheme.
What to watch out for
The terms are set by OKX and can change; what you read here is the position as at 1 August 2026. Do the sums on the higher rungs with a cool head as well. To earn €160 you have to deposit €30,000 and trade €100,000. At a typical spot fee of around 0.10% per side, that volume costs more in trading fees than the reward pays out. The lower rungs are the good ones.
What this means for you
For most readers this is a two-step promotion rather than a six-step one: verify your identity, add the OKX Card if you fancy it, and stop there. That is €110 with no trading risk and nothing to put in. If you already trade on a European exchange, the third rung is worth picking up. The rest of the ladder is there for people making that volume anyway.
